My god. The ending is so fitting for the Soul Drinkers and that they still have bonds of friendship, despite having two Chapter Wars, mutations, wars with Orkz, Necrons, Imperials (Inquisition, Space Marines, Guard), Dark Eldar, Chaos and many more.
Sarpedon’s final act was the best way to extract revenge on the Harbringer of the Great Plan was flawless. I’ve waited for this book for the best part of a year and now that I’ve read it, I’m in awe at how one of my favourite chapters of Space Marines finally passed into memory and are still regarded as brothers to other Space Marine chapters.
I’m in shock.
